Yendi Child and Vulnerable Protection LBG is a non-governmental and non-profit organization, established in accordance with the laws of Ghana by the Catholic Diocese of Yendi in Ghana in West Africa.

The operational area of Yendi Child and Vulnerable Protection LBG covers the entire territory of the Catholic Diocese of Yendi. Thus, its operational area covers the northeastern corridor of the Northern Region of the Republic of Ghana. Its operational area spans ten (10) political administrative districts. These districts are: Yendi (the seat of the Diocese), Soboba, Chereponi, Gushegu, Karaga, Nanumba North, Nanumba South, Zabzugu, Tatale / Sanguli and Sang. The total land size of the coverage area of Yendi Child and Vulnerable LBG is approximately 1,950 km square with a total population of about 866,559 (2010 population and housing census).
The illiteracy rate among the people of the region is record high. School enrolment is quite high, but retention rates are low. Poverty levels are very high among the people. Some cultural and traditional practices easily qualify as human rights abuse of children and the vulnerable. The infrastructural development of the area is very low, and a vast part of the area is rural and far removed from the watch of the law enforcement agencies and other relevant agencies.
